JIWOO Clinic plans ONDA Lifting care after reviewing your goals, medical history, anatomy, and expected recovery.
ONDA uses 2.45 GHz Coolwaves for selected contour and laxity concerns
ONDA by DEKA uses controlled microwave energy called Coolwaves. Its Deep and Shallow handpieces are designed for different tissue depths and applications, including selected localized fat, cellulite, skin laxity and submental concerns according to the model and local authorization.
The cooling and energy distribution are part of the device design, but they do not make every area or patient suitable. The clinician must separate a fat-directed plan from a skin-firmness plan and preserve appropriate facial volume.
What this treatment may support
- Non-surgical treatment for selected body areas
- May support contour and surface firmness
- Protocol can be adjusted to tissue and area size
- Can be staged over a personalized series
What the clinician assesses
Fat or skin target
Localized fullness, cellulite and laxity are mapped separately before a handpiece is selected.
Tissue thickness and area
Face, submental region and body require different depth and safety considerations.
Medical suitability
Implants, altered sensation, scars, circulation, medicines, recent procedures and pregnancy status are reviewed.
Who may want to discuss it
- Localized body contour concerns
- Mild skin-firmness concerns on suitable areas
- People at a stable weight seeking non-surgical care
- Those without contraindications to device treatment
Consultation and treatment steps
Define the endpoint
The plan specifies contour, cellulite or firmness rather than promising general slimming.
Confirm the handpiece
The model, Deep or Shallow applicator and intended depth are explained.
Deliver and monitor
Coverage, contact, comfort and tissue response are monitored throughout the treatment area.
Measure later
Photographs or measurements are repeated after an appropriate response interval.
What to expect
Session planning
Session duration and series length depend on area size, tissue characteristics, settings, and response.
Recovery
Warmth, redness, tenderness, swelling, altered sensation, bruising, or temporary discomfort may occur.
Results
Body contour changes are gradual and variable; ONDA is not a treatment for obesity and does not guarantee size reduction.
Aftercare, limits and warning signs
Aftercare essentials
- Follow guidance on hydration, exercise, heat, massage and skin care for the exact area and handpiece.
- Allow temporary warmth, redness, tenderness or swelling to settle before judging contour.
- Avoid layering another fat- or heat-directed procedure without checking timing.
- Report blistering, burns, persistent numbness, increasing pain, weakness or a new contour depression promptly.
What this treatment cannot promise
- ONDA is not a weight-loss treatment and should not be expected to change overall body weight.
- A handpiece intended for localized fat is not automatically appropriate for a thin face or every submental concern.
- Cellulite, fat and laxity are distinct targets; one session cannot guarantee correction of all three.

Frequently asked questions
Is ONDA a weight-loss procedure?
No. It may be considered for selected localized contour concerns, but general weight management requires a separate evidence-based plan.
How many ONDA sessions will I need?
The schedule varies by area, tissue, settings, and response. A clinician should reassess progress rather than promise a fixed outcome.
What are ONDA Deep and Shallow handpieces?
They are designed for different treatment depths and applications. The clinician should state which is proposed, where it will be used and whether the target is localized fat, cellulite or skin firmness.
Can ONDA replace liposuction?
No. It is a non-invasive device for selected localized concerns and cannot reproduce surgical fat removal or skin excision.
